Welcome to AdviceUK Scotland

Independent advice agencies in Scotland were amongst our founders when we formed as the Federation of Independent Advice Centres (FIAC) in 1979.

Today we have growing membership in Scotland and a representative based in Glasgow who co-ordinates support for members.

For example, if you provide money advice or undertake financial capability work, or deliver training to disadvantaged groups have a look at the Santander Foundation website  – grants of up to £10,000 are available nationwide, with grants of up to £30,000 available in selected areas, including Greater Glasgow.

  • Bank of Scotland Foundation (Lloyds Bank Foundation) – www.bankofscotlandfoundation.org
  • Nationwide – Social Investment Community Grant – Looking to support local housing projects that help the most vulnerable by preventing people from losing their homes, helping people in to a home and supporting people to thrive within the home environment. https://www.nationwide.co.uk/about/why-choose-nationwide/social-investment/community-grants/overview
  • Scotch Whisky Action Fund – The Scotch Whisky industry is and has been involved for many years in a range of initiatives to promote responsible attitudes to alcohol and tackle alcohol-related harm.
  • Impact Funding Partners – Workplace Equality Fund – £5,000 – £50,000
  • The Volant Charitable Trust – The Volant Trust’s aim is to support women, children and young people who are at risk and facing social deprivation.
  • Community Assets – £10,000 – up to £1 million – Helps create strong resilient communities by helping them address inequality or disadvantage by acquiring, managing or developing buildings and/or land.
