Chair of Trustees

Disability Law Service is a unique national organisation providing a free legal advice and representation service for disabled people. Since 1975 we have been challenging the poverty and inequality faced by people with disabilities by securing equal access to legal rights and entitlements. We are also playing a growing role in commenting on and influencing policy as it relates to disabled people. We are a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation (DDPO), meaning that we are led by those with experience of the issues that we aim to address. We are a registered charity.

Debt Advice Outreach Caseworker

An opportunity has arisen for a Debt Adviser to join our new United Utilities funded project. This targeted project is a partnership between Liverpool Community Advice (LCA) and Kensington Fields Community Association (KFCA).

Based at KFCA, the project will provide debt advice to residents of Central and Kensington & Fairfield wards, whilst helping KFCA to develop their own skills and experience so that they may begin to deliver a quality assured debt advice service.
The focus is sharing your skills and knowledge to coach and support advisors and trainees to meet MaPS quality standards whilst developing your supervisory and leadership skills.

Trainee Debt Adviser

This is an exciting development opportunity for an experienced caseworker, ready to work towards a Technical Supervisor role. It is a trainee role, supported by the GMMAP quality team, leading to a permanent Technical Supervisor position. (subject to future funding)

The focus is sharing your skills and knowledge to coach and support advisors and trainees to meet MaPS quality standards whilst developing your supervisory and leadership skills.
