Outline agenda for the day:
Morning session 1 (10.30 – 11.30): Introductions; Student complaints and the role of the OIAHE (including presentation from OIAHE, awaiting final details of speaker).
Morning session 2 (11.45 – 12.45): “Holding it together in the face of adversity”: a presentation on dealing with staffing and management issues (Neil Gallivan, Advice Manager at the Students’ Union, Bournemouth University).
Networking lunch – (12.45 – 13.45): A key part of the day: take this opportunity to share questions, experiences and approaches and get support from others in similar roles.
Afternoon session 1 (13.45 – 15.00): “Top Tips on Hot Topics” – as ever, we want this to be relevant to the issues you are facing. Get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any particular topics you would like covered. We would also like to tell you about some new work that AdviceUK is doing to strengthen our relationships with members and help you influence the environments in which you give advice.
Afternoon session 2 (15.15 – 16.30): “Making the best use of your client and case management systems” (including, but not limited to, AdvicePro!). Feedback and close.
