The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team under our new organisational structure.  We have a vacancy for a new Benefits Team Leader, who will play an integral part in moving our organisation forward.  We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual who is seeking the next challenge in their career path to join our team who has in-depth benefits advice knowledge.  Based at our offices in Paddington, the post holder will be pivotal in ensuring that an effective advice service is provided to clients in the area of benefits. They will also play a key role in engaging with our stakeholders through delivering presentations, talks and written reports.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal appropriately with a cross section of people including potentially difficult clients whilst maintaining a professional approach.  Self-motivated, with strong IT skills, the post holder will be confident in leading a small team, ensuring that team members are effectively supported, developed and performance managed in order to build a cohesive and efficient team. A minimum of 3 years’ (full-time equivalent) post-certificate experience of providing good quality, in-depth casework on the full range of benefit issues is essential, with the ability to share and contribute positively whilst having a flexible approach to service delivery.  A commitment to working in a multi-cultural environment is vital.
