Coventry University Students’ Union have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and committed individual who has a genuine interest in working with and supporting students at Coventry University, including our CUSU University groups in London and Scarborough. The successful post-holder will join our Students’ Union Advice Centre comprising of skilled and experienced advisors who are committed to contributing to improved outcomes for our students.
The post-holder will provide students with independent advice and guidance on a range of issues and academic matters, together with undertaking associated casework to analyse complex problems and recommend solutions. There will also be opportunities to support the development of the service and our campaigns and strategic activities.
The ideal candidate should hold significant experience of providing advice on range of issues, including at least four of the following six areas: housing, debt, immigration, welfare benefits, student funding and financial capability. You should also hold a minimum of Level 3 qualifications (e.g. A Levels), however a degree or a relevant advice qualification and/or equivalent work experience is highly desirable. You will need also have the ability to communicate using digital technology e.g. video calls, web chat and emails.
This post is permanent working full-time 37.5 hours per week. A flexible approach to working hours is required.
