CUSU is based on Park Place and at the Heath Park campus, employing over 100 permanent staff and 300 student staff. We are seeking an individual to join the Student Advice team at Cardiff University Students’ Union. As a member of the Student Advice team, you will be involved in the direct delivery of independent advice, information and support on a range of issues to students studying at Cardiff University, including academic, housing, consumer, financial capability and employment. This will include a range of complexities and involve undertaking and managing a varied caseload. In some instances, this will involve undertaking advocacy work with students engaged in disputes, issues and concerns with Cardiff University or other third parties. As well as providing advice to students with issues, you will be involved in the development and delivery of proactive advice and raising awareness of common issues affecting students. You will engage with colleagues from within and outside the organisation in order to develop and deliver our services.

The post is based at the Students’ Union, Park Place, Cardiff however services are also delivered at different locations around campus. This will include work based at the University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park. The role is full time 35 hours per week contract for a fixed term of six months.
