On-Line Referral Systems
To aid inter-agency referrals and establishment of local referral networks, a number of IT systems are available.
Before deciding to invest in an IT referral system, we encourage advice organisations and networks to think carefully about how it will help to improve services for clients and how it will be maintained and sustained. For further background reading on wider issues around referral and referral networks see our discussion document, Signposting, Referral and Referral Networks. We would also be pleased to discuss this with you if you contact us.
Nellbooker
AdviceUK has assisted with the development of one system in particular for a number of years and we are pleased to recommend Nellbooker. Nellbooker is owned and managed by legal aid firm Hopkin Murray Beskine (HMB). AdviceUK liaises regularly with HMB regarding the development of Nellbooker.
Nellbooker is an easy-to-use online service that links legal advice providers and referral agencies in a web-based community.
All enquiries about Nellbooker, including demonstrations and trials, sales, training and support, should be made directly to the Nellbooker team via the Nellbooker web site: https://www.nellbooker.net/.
There are other systems around. Here are a selection that we have discovered:
