Who was involved in the project?
A Consortium made up by AdviceUK, Advice Services Alliance, Age Concern, Citizens Advice Bureau, Law Centres Federation and Youth Access was awarded a total of £5.75 million by the Big Lottery Fund to fund an extensive 30 month project called Working Together for Advice (WTfA).
Why did the project develop?
WTfA was designed to provide targeted and co-ordinated resources and support to front line advice organisations to help the advice sector achieve a sustainable future.
What were the aims of the project?
The project’s main aim was to build the capacity, strength and independence of the advice sector by:
- Increasing access to advice
- Enhancing the quality of advice
- Demonstrating the value of advice
- Improving the efficiency of advice services
