Legal aid agencies will have to pay for quality audits
The Legal Services Commission (LSC) has released new quality assurance proposals for agencies with legal aid contracts. In future, agencies may hold either the Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) or Lexcel. But with the SQM being out-sourced, a fee will be payable. Although the LSC discussion paper doesn’t say it’s a consultation document, comments are invited before 30 July.
