The New Quality Mark: consultation findings and update

Earlier this year, the "Developing a New Quality Mark" workstream of the Working Together for Advice (WTFA) project launched a cross-network consultation on the draft version of the proposed new quality mark standard. This is the standard which will eventually replace the General Help Quality Mark (GHQM) for work at advice and casework levels.

The findings from the consultation have now been collated. Download the executive summary of the findings below. If you would like to read the full report it is also available to download below.

The pilot phase of the Quality Mark project is now underway. 20 agencies representing the major advice networks are piloting the new quality of advice and organisational standards. Quality of advice assessments and compliance audits will be carried out before the end of the pilot phase in December, 2009. 6 quality of advice assessors and 3 auditors have been recruited and trained to carry out these assessments and audits. Following the pilot phase, there will be a further network-wide consultation in 2010.
