Immigration advice could be hit by more charges
If you’re horrified by proposed fees for Specialist Quality Mark audits, take a seat if you’re an immigration advice agency. Under new Home Office proposals, a solicitor in an agency with an LSC contract in immigration will have to pay for an SQM audit, IAAS accreditation, practising certificates, OISC exemption and the cost of LSB oversight of OISC. Consultation on the proposals was open until 6 August.
