How to set up a campaign

You could set up a campaign yourself (see general guides) or support the campaign of a bigger organisation in your field (see bottom of page)

It might be a good idea before you start a campaign to think of the way you will evaluate its success. Volunteer Genie provides some advice on how to go about this.

Volresource provide a good beginner's guide to project evaluation.

Training
Keep up to date with the Improving Support training by e-mail. Their mission is to develop, promote and champion excellence in campaigning and advocacy across the third sector.

Link up with another campaign
If resources are an issue, check out what big voluntary organisations are up to. Chances are, they are running a campaign on the very issues you face. Many would be very grateful for activists from the ground.

For example, in the housing field check out Shelter, for asylum issues check out the Refugee Council, for welfare benefits issues check out CPAG, etc.
