ARCHIVE: 11-15 October 2010

The theme of Advice Week 2010 was 'discrimination'. A resource pack was provided and is available to download below.

A short film was produced to highlight the issue. This can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/citizensadvice.

Respective advice networks consulted members and chose to concentrate on a particular issue:

  • AdviceUK – Migrant workers
  • Age UK – Age discrimination
  • Citizens Advice – Hate crime
  • Law Centres Federation – Age, disability, gender, race, religion and sexual orientation
  • Youth Access – Access to advice

Member organisations received posters with the slogan “It’s not OK”, reflecting our shared belief that no-one should put up with any kind of discrimination. A poster was produced for each network. Unbranded posters focusing on a range of issues can be downloaded:

The national networks held an event in Parliament on 12 October 2010 and created a resource pack, which can be downloaded here,
