Other Types of Membership

Although we are best known for supporting organisations which specialise in providing advice, we also offer a wider network of support to organisations and individuals that aren’t associated with this area.

AdviceUK’s purpose and vision is to create a society wherein every individual, regardless of means, is able to access the advice they need in order to exercise their rights and deal with any legal and social welfare problems they may face.

On this basis, we are dedicated to educating and supporting any organisation that is ethical and shares the same beliefs.

To help us facilitate that, we have created a variety of different classes of affiliation, in order to let as many people as possible access our expertise and knowledge.

These include:

Partner
An AdviceUK Partner is defined as an organisation or individual actively engaged with us in activities which share our objectives. For example, ACMS is a partner with whom we developed Advice-Pro, a case management system specifically for the advice sector.

Associate/ Affiliate/ Approved Provider

An Associate is an organisation that we are proud to associate with and that, while not an advice-provider, has objectives that are consistent with or complimentary to our own. An annual Associate fee is payable for which in return the Associate receives our support and access to a number of discounted services.

AdviceUK has a number of associates including Trussell Trust, Resolver and FairForYou.

Supporter

There are two types of supporters:

  • Corporate supporter
  • Individual supporter

Sponsor

Sponsors come in many shapes and sizes, but we define them as an organisation or individual who supports our endeavours on a practical level. This could be by paying a fee, providing facilities, equipment, materials, food & drink for a particular one of our events, or offering a product or service in exchange for favourable exposure via our different platforms to our audiences.

Our membership team can help you decide which category you would be eligible for. For more information, contact our membership team by phone on 0300 777 0107 or 0300 777 0108 or email us at membership@adviceuk.org.uk.
