AdviceUK Annual Conference 2015
‘Not Business as Usual’
Conference Aston, Birmingham, Thursday 8 October 2015
Following last year’s sold-out event, we are pleased to announce that bookings are now open for this year’s AdviceUK Conference. In planning this year’s event we have been very conscious of the heightened entrepreneurial challenge facing advice providers in this time of rising service expectations yet disappearing funding. New things are having to be learned, new skills acquired and innovations braved. Those providers that succeed over the next few years certainly won’t be doing “Business as Usual” so the event will be highlighting that.
As always, we like to keep our conference fresh and to make it lively and stimulating for delegates. The conference will be chaired by Liz Barclay, freelance journalist and broadcaster, and it will feature a “Into the Dragons’ Lair …” session – an opportunity for members to access specialist skills and expertise and financial support by pitching their ideas to a panel of dragons. Find out more about this opportunity now. The day will also include:
- A keynote speech by David McAuley, Chief Executive of the Trussell Trust
- Workshops on a range of topics including learning & skills, funding, influencing and AdvicePro
- One-to-one clinics for AdvicePro subscribers
- Networking opportunities with fellow AdviceUK members
- An exhibition area with exhibits from a wide range of voluntary, statutory and commercial organisations
You can download the full programme here.
We reached full capacity at last year’s conference, so this year we have moved to a larger venue, Conference Aston. A four star standard conference centre and hotel venue in Birmingham city centre on Aston University’s campus, it is easily accessible from New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill stations with parking available onsite. If you would like to find out more about the venue please visit the Conference Aston’s website. If you would like to exhibit at this year’s event, please complete the exhibitor booking form at the foot of this page and return it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any questions about exhibiting, please email David at the above address or call 0333 3404 383.
Our annual conference could not take place without the support of our sponsors. If you would like to discuss sponsoring the event, please send an email to email@example.com or call David on 0333 3404 383.
