Governance

We are a not-for-profit company, and we are governed by a Board of Trustee Directors who all offer their time on a voluntary basis.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the management and administration of AdviceUK. It makes sure our income is only used for the purposes agreed in the governing documents and is responsible for resources within the organisation.

The Trustees must act in the best interests of the organisation at all times and ensure that the organisation stays within the law. Day to day management of the organisation is delegated to the Chief Executive and staff while the Board focuses on strategic issues.

The members meet seven times a year and manage issues such as the organisation’s budget, annual plan, staffing and remuneration and policies.

Our Trustees are ultimately responsible for all of the organisation’s affairs but their role is non-executive. They are one of our expert resources, bringing a mix of knowledge and skills that can be varied to meet changing demands.

The Trustees publish Annual Reports and Accounts, and to see their recent reports please click here.
